Penelope Gane

Penny is an environmental lawyer with extensive experience of successfully delivering strategic legal action against polluting industries and holding Governments and regulators to account for failing to protect the environment.  

Before joining Uplift, Penny was Head of Practice at Fish Legal, working to empower its members in the fight for healthy rivers across the UK. A strong advocate of using the law as a tool to drive systemic change, Penny is committed to challenging corporate-driven environmental degradation and decision makers who need to act with urgency to address the global climate crisis.
