Isobel Mercer

Isobel supports Uplift’s work to create political support in Scotland for a just transition away from oil and gas. Prior to joining Uplift Isobel spent 7 years working in RSPB Scotland’s policy team where she developed and advocated policy proposals for nature protection and recovery in Scotland, engaging with decision-makers across the Scottish Government and Holyrood. Isobel holds an undergraduate degree in Politics and German from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Environmental Technology, specialising in Global Environmental Change and Policy, from Imperial College London.
