Alina Holzhausen

Alina is an expert in climate change and human rights law and policy. Before joining Uplift, Alina worked as a Research Fellow at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) on various projects with a climate focus, including its interrelations with cultural heritage and migration. During her PhD at the University of Aberdeen, Alina explored the role of human rights-based climate litigation in achieving ambitious climate action. In this field, she has contributed various publications, presentations, and training sessions. Alina also holds a German law degree (University of Bayreuth), a MaƮtrise in International Law (University of Bordeaux), and a LLM in International Law and International Relations (University of Aberdeen).
